Folks how we're doing today it's Nathan the f9 guy got a new video for you today I'm going to talk about cancellation and refund ability of warranties extended warranties and vehicle service contracts essentially you probably went to the dealership bottle extended warranty, so you have more coverage on your bumper to bumper warranty sometimes people do just powertrain essentially that policy in most cases I would say 99% of the time is refundable and cancellable so basically what that means is if you decide you don't want the coverage trade the vehicle sell the vehicle buy a new vehicle and get rid of that old vehicle that you have the policy on you can cancel it and get a refund now most policies are based off a pro-rated refund so based on time and mileage, and they do a percentage so let's say you use 50% of the contract you get 50% of your money back — a ×50 administration fee that money is usually refunded by the dealership itself, but you can call and cancel it with the actual warranty company if you're having trouble with the dealer not all Camp;I managers are built the same, so they might not want to cancel your policy because they get a charge back basically it means that they have to pay out of their pocket because you cancelled the product early usually within 180 days, so you might get some resistance on trying to cancel it they shouldn't do that they should just help you out it gives the product in our industry a bad name when they don't do refunds for you, but essentially you can bypass them and call the company directly, and they will get you the paperwork you send it right back to them and then eventually they send the check to the issuing dealer you have to do a little of baby scene to make sure you actually get the check back from the issuing dealer if they do not refund you but in most cases I would say 99% of the dealers out there are pretty good at getting refunds to you now if you have a loan on the vehicle which is a common question the refund actually goes to the loan balance, so it pays down the balance of the loan if the vehicle is paid off, and you can show proof of this the money actually comes back to you in the form of a check, so the nice part is if you buy the coverage get rid of the vehicle you can get a refund on it maybe you bought the coverage you don't know how long you'll need the coverage for and if you don't need it any longer you can cancel it as well generally if you cancel one USES within a 30-day period of purchase it's a hundred percent refundable they call that a flat cancel essentially you have 30 days to make up your mind whether you get the coverage now if you bought the service contract when you bought the car it's usually day one coverage one of the best companies out there is CNA National Toyota warranties are great and an UL as well so what happens is you get coverage right from day one because we've inspected the vehicle we've got it Road ready, and we know that it's good to go the other type...
